Join us for a class on how to get started in the art of Wood burning and Image Transfer! You will learn how to use a wood burning iron to create beautiful artwork that you can enjoy for years, and how to transfer full color images to wood surfaces. Wood burnings and image transfers make for excellent gifts for friends and family members.
The course materials fee will also include the cost if the wood burning iron so you can take it home and put your new skills to use and keep developing your new skills after the class!
Skills to be covered will be the basics of how to use the various tips of the wood burning iron including the shading tip and the rounded tip and detail tip, the concept of layering, and methods for image transfer onto the wood. Other topics of interest will be how to create your own grayscale images from pictures gimp (an open source photo editing software) to then transfer and burn or simply transfer use color image transfer methods to make a color image on wood!
